My purpose as an End of Life Doula is to empower people on the individual level to make optimal choices around end of life as well as on the societal level, to change the way we approach, talk about and plan for death.

I was inspired to work as an End of Life Doula as a result of personal experience supporting my sister in her death at home and then, four years later, supporting my mother through the death of my father. These two very different circumstances showed me the profound positive difference a doula can make in the experience of those who are planning for death, actively dying, or for those loved ones who are journeying alongside.
