Nell Hurst
Kia ora,
My name is Nell, I am a mother of four adult sons, and a grandma!
I trained as a midwife in 2009, and worked as an LMC for 10 years, predominantly with families choosing home birth. I gained so much trust in birth, and also bore witness to what medical interventions can do and what physical and emotional harm they cause to women and babies. I believe that birth is inherently safe and a normal physiological process that should not be interfered with unless there is a true medical need.
I chose to step away from clinical midwifery practice, and since the end of 2022 I have been offering holistic birth keeping support through pregnancy and birth.
I reside in the Bay of Plenty, but I am open to travel country wide to offer my support services to women who are wanting to birth without assistance or medical interventions.
